Hana Valentova (CZ) : Intimita 2006
Een impressief filmisch beeld van romantiek, erotiek, vergankelijkheid, kwetsbaarheid.....
Hana Valentova die studeerde op de filmakademie van Praag, werkt verder in een traditie van experimentele filmmakers. In haar films onderzoekt zij verschillende filmische elementen, zoals kadrering, ritme, herhaling, stilstand/beweging. Eerder vertoonden we al 'Extacy of home live' en de dansfilm 'EONOE'.
'Intimita' is opgebouwd uit enkele shots van haar prive-omgeving, waarmee ze een soort filmisch ritueel wilde creëeren, een repetitie die hoort bij het dagelijks (samen)leven, en die in deze vorm veel ruimte laat voor associatie.

Hana Valentove studied at the Prague filmacademy and works in a tradition of experimental filmmaking. In her works she investigates different filmic elements like framing, rhythm, repetition and the effect of stills in relation to movement. In earlier programs we already showed 'Extacy of home live' and the dance film 'EONOE'
'Intimita' is built up from shots of Hana's private surrounding. It is an attempt to create a sort of filmic ritual, a repetition that belongs to daily living together. In this form it opens the way to many different associations.
