Words is een videocompilatie ter gelegenheid van het Poetry International Rotterdam. Het is een bescheiden collectie van werk van kunstenaars die op een verbeeldende manier met gesproken taal werken, sommigen zijn beeldend kunstenaar, anderen filmmaker of klankperformer. Er zijn een aantal autonome film/videowerken en enkele registraties van performances. In alle gevallen is de gesproken taal het belangrijkste bestanddeel van het werk, zelfs als die als voice-over gehanteerd wordt.

Words is a compilation of video works at the occasion of the Poetry International Rotterdam. It is a brief collection of works of artists who work with oral language in an imaginative way. Some of them are visual artists, others are filmmaker or sound performer. Some works are autonomous film/videoworks, and some are registrations of art performances. In all cases spoken language is the most important element of the work, even when it is used as voice-over.
